September already. Whoa. Take a step back and let that soak in for a moment. How did September get here. And what happened to summer?
It’s the season of the farmer around here. And that, in my opinion, is one of the best seasons. It’s also a bit tiring. Hard even. But watching my son and husband bond over the duration of harvest makes all the blood, sweat and tears worth it. (There’s been a bit of blood, way too much sweat and a few tears.)
In my opinion, a farmer is a generous person who lives by giving. They work tirelessly day in and day out to provide to the rest of the world. They sacrifice time with their families, endure crazy long days, hold countless “titles” (labourer, CEO, mechanic, etc), withstand stress, work along side Mother Nature – just to give you an idea. And that’s a fraction of what they do. That is giving. And they do with a smile. Usually.
Giving feels good. You would be hard pressed to find someone who could argue that simple statement. Not sure? Try it out …

That being said, each month I find a cause and I make a donation. This month I am going to switch it up. I am going to give back to every single one of my amazing customers.
